Strong Character
Magnet density (mT) describes the magnetic field strength at each pole and how the pickup interacts with the strings.
Different magnet types have different ranges (e.g. Alnico ~30–65 mT, Ceramic ~60–90+ mT), and some variation is normal — even within the same pickup.
Typical pole-to-pole variation is ~5–15 mT.
Spread describes this:
Lower spread → more even response
Higher spread → more character and dynamics
Slugs → smoother field
Screws → more focused response

Wax Potting
Light potting — balanced tone with reduced microphonic noise
The PA-JAH pickup is designed around balance, feel and musical expression, delivering a voice that perfectly complements reggae, roots, dub and soulful rhythm playing. With 7777 precisely wound turns, the coil reflects the symbolic significance of the number seven while producing an exceptionally balanced electrical profile centered around 7 kΩ.
Its 2.1 H inductance, resonant frequency around 4.2 kHz and healthy Q factor create a smooth yet articulate response with excellent note separation and natural harmonic bloom. The carefully mixed 42 and 43 AWG winding preserves dynamic sensitivity while adding warmth and richness throughout the midrange, making every chord breathe with effortless clarity.
The AlNiCo 2 flat-pole magnets provide a gentle and even magnetic field that allows the strings to vibrate freely, resulting in a relaxed attack, singing sustain and beautifully organic touch response. The measured magnetic balance across all six poles ensures outstanding string-to-string consistency while maintaining the smooth, expressive feel that defines classic vintage pickups.
Light potting preserves openness and harmonic complexity while keeping the resonance focused and musical. Every note carries warmth, air and rhythmic precision, making this pickup feel alive beneath your fingertips.
Created for the spirit of PA-JAH, this pickup captures the heartbeat of reggae—warm, uplifting and deeply musical, inviting every player to let the rhythm breathe naturally through every performance.
