The FROST RWRP middle pickup was developed as a premium boutique Strat-style middle pickup with a strong focus on clarity, balance and musical responsiveness. Wound with 8000 turns of 43 AWG solderable polyurethane wire around six carefully matched AlNiCo 5 vintage bevel pole magnets, it combines a focused magnetic field with an exceptionally consistent coil geometry. The measured magnetic field remains remarkably even across all six poles, contributing to excellent note definition, string balance and dynamic tracking.
With 6.4 kΩ DC resistance, 2.42 H inductance and a high Q factor of 4.5, FROST produces a clear, articulate resonance that emphasizes sparkling highs, open mids and a smooth, controlled low end while maintaining impressive harmonic detail. Its RWRP configuration also makes it an ideal partner for neck and bridge pickups, delivering authentic hum-cancelling operation together with the classic Strat "quack" in switch positions 2 and 4.
Light potting preserves the pickup's lively character and touch sensitivity, allowing subtle playing nuances to shine through while maintaining excellent consistency. The result is a refined boutique middle pickup that captures the timeless Strat voice with outstanding clarity, musical expression and effortless versatility.
