This pickup represents an exceptionally refined low-wind single coil focused on openness, speed and harmonic transparency. Its electrical characteristics create a highly articulate and expressive voice with outstanding clarity, dynamic sensitivity and touch response.
The combination of very low 0.9 H inductance and a resonant frequency around 6.8 kHz produces exceptional upper harmonic extension, fast transient attack and remarkable note separation. The frequency response remains airy and detailed across the entire fretboard, delivering vivid articulation and impressive string definition.
A 5.1 kΩ DC resistance paired with an estimated 5200-turn mixed 42 AWG winding preserves high-frequency energy while minimizing internal damping. Notes develop with immediate clarity and retain rich harmonic complexity even during complex chord work.
A no-load Q factor of 4.2 indicates an efficient and lively resonant peak with excellent energy retention. Resonance remains stable under both 250k and 500k loading conditions, preserving the pickup’s dynamic and responsive character.
The AlNiCo 2 flat-pole magnet structure provides balanced string response, natural sustain and exceptional touch sensitivity. Combined with low 126 pF internal capacitance and full potting, the result is an open, lively and harmonically rich pickup with outstanding articulation, dynamic elasticity and beautifully transparent vintage character.
