Strong Character
Magnet density (mT) describes the magnetic field strength at each pole and how the pickup interacts with the strings.
Different magnet types have different ranges (e.g. Alnico ~30–65 mT, Ceramic ~60–90+ mT), and some variation is normal — even within the same pickup.
Typical pole-to-pole variation is ~5–15 mT.
Spread describes this:
Lower spread → more even response
Higher spread → more character and dynamics
Slugs → smoother field
Screws → more focused response

The GLACIER is an exceptionally well-balanced vintage-output humbucker whose electrical characteristics point to a highly refined and musically expressive design. Both coils are wound to approximately 5.8 kΩ using an estimated 6200-turn SPN mixed winding, creating excellent electrical symmetry and consistent performance throughout the pickup.
The South coil measures 2.50 H with a resonant frequency around 3.9 kHz, providing a warm, articulate foundation with excellent body and smooth transient response. The North coil, at 2.07 H and approximately 4.4 kHz, contributes additional openness, sparkle and upper-harmonic detail. Together in series, they produce 11.6 kΩ and 3.82 H, resulting in a remarkably balanced voice that blends warmth, clarity and dynamic articulation.
The AlNiCo 2 bar magnet system generates an even magnetic field across both slug rows, with measured densities ranging from approximately 21–30 mT. This gentle and consistent magnetic pull promotes excellent sustain, natural string vibration and highly uniform note-to-note balance. The measured internal capacitance values (148–180 pF) indicate healthy winding geometry with stable resonant behavior under no-load, 250k and 500k conditions.
Combined with light potting, the pickup retains outstanding openness, harmonic richness and touch sensitivity while maintaining excellent control. Overall, the GLACIER delivers an inspiring vintage humbucker experience with beautiful clarity, expressive dynamics and a remarkably refined harmonic character.
